The Ugandan Asians now make up one of the most successful and prosperous immigrant communities in Britain and to mark 35years on from the expulsion in 1972 by Idi Amin awards were held at Maher Hall on Saturday 9th June 2007 organised by Mr. Jiva Odedra.

One of the event sponsors were Elegant Wedding Services, the leading Asian Wedding specialist in this country supporting British Heart Research Foundation and Wishes4kids Charity - 15 Awards were handed out.
